Permanent Residency (PR) and Citizenship
Keep coming back to a country and move up: Visitor → Resident → Citizen.
Steps
- Open Passport and pick a country: the Residency card shows where you are on the ladder.
- Tap “See the checklist” for exactly what is left, with progress bars.
- Only checked trips count, and each date counts once (5 posts in a day = 1 day).
- When you earn PR or citizenship you get a notification. Tap Share for a residence card or citizenship certificate for your story.
Tips
- PR becomes inactive after a year with no trip there. One new trip makes it active again.
- Citizenship is for good. Two citizenships earn the Dual Citizen medal, five earn Global Citizen.
- PR and citizenship are fun Tripsbadge travel titles, not a real residency, citizenship or passport of any country (see the Disclaimer page).

If trips that counted were removed, you may be back to Visitor until you meet the rules again.
